Jacob “Jake” Moe, 32, of Austin, died Saturday morning, Feb. 25, 2012, from his injuries in an automobile accident near Austin, Minnesota. Jake was born Feb. 3, 1980, in Austin, Minnesota the son of Steve and Mary Kay Moe. He was a lifelong resident of Austin, graduating from Austin High School. Jake was united in marriage to Megan Gerhart on June 25, 2011, in Austin. He loved anything with a motor and rims, spending time with his family and friends and listening to country western music. He was employed as a carpenter for Anderson Construction. Jake was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Austin.

Survivors include his wife, Megan Moe of Austin; son, Micah Swanson of Austin; his parents, Steve and Mary Kay Moe of Austin; sister, Andrea (Andie) Ulrich of Winona; brother, Nick Moe of Minneapolis; his father and mother-in-law, Tom and Cheryl Gerhart of Austin and many other relatives and special friends. He was preceded in death by paternal and maternal grandparents.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Austin with Pastor Glenn Monson, officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Monday, February 27th at the Worlein Funeral Home and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
