NFL Picks: Week 6

Here are the picks:

Buffalo at New York Giants

I actually got to watch the Bills beat the Eagles last week and they looked like the real deal. George Wilson is a force at safety and Fred Jackson is doing his best Marshall Faulk imitation.

The Giants are coming off a loss to the Seahawks.

Pick: BILLS 26, GIANTS 20

Indianapolis at Cincinnati

The Colts were in control last week until they let it slip away. You almost wonder if they’re trying to get the top pick in the draft.

Pick: BENGALS 17, COLTS 10

Jacksonville at Pittsburgh

The Steelers showed up big time last week and proved they aren’t done yet.

Pick: STEELERS 29, JAGUARS 13

Philadelphia at Washington

The Redskins have yet to prove they are for real and Philly will be tough when it gets over its turnover problems.

EAGLES 27, REDSKINS 13

San Francisco at Detroit

With both teams off to their best starts in years, this will be a highly competitive game. The Lions just look too good at home and it’s hard to pick against them right now.

Pick: LIONS 33, 49ERS 21

St. Louis at Green Bay

Pretty much a bye week for the Packers.

Pick: PACKERS 42, RAMS 10

Carolina at Atlanta

The Falcons showed why they just aren’t that good in their loss to the Packers. They led 14-0, then proceeded to disappear for the rest of the night as the Packers marched right back into it on a national stage.

At least the Panthers have shown some heart this year.

Pick: PANTHERS 23, FALCONS 17

Cleveland at Oakland

It’s sad that Al Davis had to pass away just as the Raiders started to become relevant again, although his passing as clearly motivated Oakland.

Pick: RAIDERS 29, BROWNS 7

Houston at Baltimore

The loss of Mario Williams is going to hurt the Texans pretty bad.

Pick: RAVENS 22, TEXANS 12

New Orleans at Tampa Bay

The Bucs lost by 45 points last week and the Saints are capable of scoring 45 points.

SAINTS 30, BUCS 17

Dallas at New England

The Patriots’ offense is just too good for the Cowboys’ mediocre secondary.

Although both teams should put up points.

Pick: PATRIOTS 36, COWBOYS 28

Minnesota at Chicago

I don’t know what’s slowing down the Bears so much this year, but this is a must win for them.

BEARS 13, VIKINGS 10

Miami at New York Jets

The Jets have looked terrible, but they should be able to beat the Dolphins, who just lost Chad Henne for the year.

Pick: JETS 23, DOLPHINS 3

Last week: 6-6; overall: 51-25
