A St. Paul man who was found carrying 12 individually wrapped rocks of crack cocaine around Austin in October was sentenced to 20 years probation Friday morning in Mower County District Court.

Quincy Lee Morrow, 24, was convicted of third-degree drug possession of over three grams of cocaine. Another charge of second-degree drug sale was dismissed when Morrow entered into a plea deal in November. Morrow received the probation sentence in lieu of 33 months in prison.

Morrow was arrested along with Tuquan Lee Smith, 21, and Eric Donte Watson, 24, on Oct. 27.

According to a court complaint, the men were arrested near Second Street and Second Avenue SW after police received a call about three men chasing another man near Domino’s Pizza and Napa Auto Parts.

When police arrived, they saw one of the suspects sitting in a Chrysler Sebring yelling out the window. Police searched the Sebring and found the cocaine in a cigarette pack inside the car, according to the court complaint.

Police also found a black pouch, pocket-sized scale, numerous plastic bags and razor blades in the trunk.

Smith received 20 years probation in the case, and Watson was sentenced to more than four years in prison.
