Interstate 90 bridge project in Austin complete

ROCHESTER — The Interstate 90 bridge project in Austin, known as the “Bridges of Mower County,” is now complete, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

The project started in July 2009 and included the reconstruction of four bridges on I-90.

The four bridges reconstructed as part of the project are:

I-90 Dobbins Creek Culvert.

I-90 Business Loop Flyover at Oakland Pl. NE.

I-90 eastbound and westbound bridges at Turtle Creek.

Final project tasks have been wrapping up over the past several weeks. 12th Avenue NW/8th Avenue NW near Turtle Creek is now open to traffic. In addition, all lane closures on I-90 have been removed.
