Motorcyclist dies from injuries

NEW RICHLAND — A 58-year-old Buffalo Center, Iowa, motorcyclist has died from injuries he received in a collision with a car Sunday afternoon in Waseca County, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Ronald Berschman, Buffalo Center, was flown by Mayo One to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.

The Minnesota State Patrol website listed Berschman as deceased Monday morning.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a car reportedly crossed over the center line of Highway 30 one mile east of New Richland and hit Berschman head on.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as Erica Nelson, 21, Faribault.

She was driving eastbound in a 2005 Nissan Altima on Highway 30 at the time of the incident when she reportedly crossed over the center line and hit westbound Berschman who was riding a 2010 Harley-Davidson.

Nelson was not injured in the crash.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the incident took place just after 2 p.m.

The Waseca County Sheriff’s Office, North Ambulance and New Richland Ambulance and Fire also responded.
