Austin native will return to perform at Paramount

An Austin-born artist comes home this weekend.

Up ‘til 2, the Twin Cities-based vocal band featuring Austin’s Donovan Germain, will be back at the Paramount Theatre Saturday, Jan. 28.

“There’s so many Austin artists that have gone on to do great things,” said Paramount Executive Director Jennie Germain.

This is the last Up ‘til 2 performance in some time, as band members will be working a cruise for the next four or five months. Up ‘til 2 performed in Austin in fall 2010 at Riverland Community College. The vocal group is renowned for putting on shows where they sing classics and original material, as well as provide instrumentation, using only their vocals. Jennie said Up ‘til 2 will have some new material for the Austin crowd this weekend.

Up ‘til 2 takes the Paramount stage at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 28. Tickets are $12 in advance, $14 at the door, and $5 for students.
