State Patrol tickets driver four times in a few hours

Minnesota troopers ticketed a 49-year-old woman four times during a 2 1⁄2-hour span last week for driving as fast as 112 mph along Interstate 90 — including one citation in Freeborn County.

Loretta Lacy, of Sioux Falls, was reportedly driving through Minnesota east toward Racine, Wis., according to a news release.

The release stated a trooper first stopped Lacy in Martin County at 2:25 p.m. Friday after dispatchers received two separate complaints of a vehicle speeding and weaving in and out of traffic along the interstate.

The vehicle reportedly passed the trooper at 112 mph, and Lacy was ticketed for speeding, no insurance and possession of marijuana.

She was pulled over a second time 20 miles later driving 99 mph and was again ticketed for speeding and no proof of insurance, according to the release.

Another trooper stopped Lacy about an hour and 10 minutes later in Freeborn County, where she was traveling 88 mph, and ticketed her for speeding and no insurance.

The release stated she was pulled over a fourth time for traveling 88 mph in a 70 mph zone near the border of Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Lacy faces more than $500 in fines and increased insurance rates.
