Better late than never.

With the recent snow, the Jay C. Hormel Nature Center trails are groomed and set for cross country skiing and snowshoeing.

The typical cross country skiing season at the Nature Center lasts six to eight weeks. Up until the recent snow, they’d had only one to two days.

The Nature Center offers free skiing and snowshoeing from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursdays.

On Saturday, Jan. 28, the nature center will have a cross country ski lesson from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. The ski lesson costs $1 per person 18 and younger and $6 per adult. Snowshoe rental is $1 per child and $5 per adult.

For more information contact the nature center at 437-7519 and at www.hormelnaturecenter .org
