Police solicit help in finding Plainview man

The Plainview Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Melvin Edward Peterson, 43, of Plainview, Minn.

Peterson was last seen in Alma, Wis., on Sunday, where he was visiting a family friend. He left the friend’s home around 3 p.m. but never returned home. Peterson has not shown up for work at all this week. People say that is out of character, and authorities are increasingly concerned for his welfare.

Peterson is driving a silver 2008 Chevrolet Aveo, four-door, with Minnesota license plate 851 DGV. He is described as 5 feet 8 inches and 185 pounds, blond hair with blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a gray knit sweater, faded blue jeans and a brown jacket.

If anybody has seen Peterson or knows his whereabouts, they should contact the Plainview Police Department at 800-927-2647 or call 911.
