Schloo

Harold was born in Austin and grew up on a farm east of town. Harold joined the Navy in 1961 after graduating from Elkton High School. During his four years of service, he participated in the quarantine of Cuba, known as the Cuban Missile Crisis. Harold began working as a service technician for Sears in 1967 and retired after 40 years of dedicated service. A natural Mr. Fix-it, he loved to help friends and family with repair and improvement projects, drawing on his vast knowledge of all things mechanical. Harold enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, feeding and watching the birds, playing cards and socializing with friends and family, and taking daily walks at the Mall of America, along Nine Mile Creek, or through the neighborhood with his wife, Susie. In his retirement he discovered the great joy of reading literature and in his last year even learned to square dance, a gift to Susie. Harold was loved by all and will be deeply missed.

He was preceded in death by his father, Allen. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy; his loving wife of 45 years, Su Anne (Susie); son, John (Angela); daughter, Erin (Stuart) Innes; son, Mark (Alejandra); grandchildren, Brady Lockwood, Addison and Annemarie Schloo, Ethan and Elliot Innes, Caleb and Tristin Schloo; brother, Gary (Teri) Schloo; sister, Marlene (John) Aurit; many relatives and friends. Celebration of life will Thursday, Dec. 5, visitation 10:30, memory sharing service 11:30, luncheon following. Washburn-McReavy Werness Brothers Chapel 2300 W Old Shakopee Rd. Bloomington, MN 55431.
