The Mower County GOP will host the third annual Lincoln-Reagan Picnic at 5:30 p.m., Aug. 27 at the Veteran’s Pavilion.

The venue will open for guests at 5:30 p.m., dinner service will start at 6 p.m., and guests and candidates will begin speaking at 6:30 p.m.

Several 2014 candidates for various governmental positions will attend the picnic.

Three of the guests are running for governor of Minnesota. These include businessman Scott Honour, Hennepin County Commissioner and Minnesota Republican National Committeeman Jeff Johnson, and former state House Speaker Rep. Kurt Zellers, R-Maple Grove.

Three other guests are running for the U.S. House of Representatives. These include state Rep. Mike Benson, R-Rochester, businessman and former U.S. congressional aide and legislative liason Jim Hagedorn, and businessman Aaron Miller.

Running for U.S. Senate, Rep. Jim Abeler, R-Anoka, will also attend the picnic.
