ST. PAUL — Minnesota State Fair officials have confirmed a new show at the Minnesota State Fair grandstand.

American pop band R5 will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 1. Tickets cost $30 and are currently on sale through Etix at etix.com or by calling 1-800-514-3849. Tickets can also be purchased at the fairgrounds box office located at Loop Gate No. 9 on Como Avenue.

R5 is a California-based pop-rock band made up of four siblings — Ross, Riker, Rocky and Rydel Lynch — and family friend Ellington Ratliff. They have released the singles “Heart Made Up on You,” “Smile” and “Let’s Not Be Alone Tonight.”

The band has also seen widespread fame due to Ross’ acting career with Disney’s “Teen Beach Movie” and the “Austin & Ally” television series, for which he just received a 2015 Teen Choice Award. Riker had a recurring role on FOX’s “Glee” television series and placed second on Season 20 of “Dancing with the Stars.”

The R5 concert replaces the originally scheduled Meghan Trainor show. Trainor canceled her tour, including the Sept. 1 appearance at the Minnesota State Fair Grandstand, due to vocal chord issues.

Refunds are being issued from the point of purchase. Tickets purchased with a credit card have been automatically refunded.
