Hitting slump continues to plague Legion team

ALBERT LEA — The bats never got a chance to get going Monday night as the Austin Legion team fell 11-0 in five innings to Albert Lea.

Austin sent three pitchers to the mound with starting pitcher Trevor Feuerhak taking the loss and going just 2/3 of and inning.

Jordan Lysne entered in relief and pitched two innings and Jared Gardner finished off the night pitching the final 1 and 1/3 innings.

Austin managed just four hits on the night. Zach Huntley had a double and Marcus Stoulil, Ethan Horstman and Jacob Kempen all had singles.

“We’re just in a real deep hitting slump,” coach Bob Stratton said. “We’re just not putting a bat on the ball.”

Austin will next be in Mankato this weekend for tournament.
