Northwestern Singers ready to kick off rehearsals

The Northwestern Singers will begin their 2015-16 season on Monday.

New singers of all talents are welcome to the first rehearsal at Westminster Presbyterian Church at 7 p.m.

A benefit concert for youth music programs in Austin will be on Nov. 5 at St. Olaf Church. For more information contact Faye Bollingberg, NWS president, at 507-440-7295 or email at DrB@bollingberg.com.

A show will also take place on March 5-6, 2016, at the Paramount Theatre with the theme, “Back to the Future.” The show will feature many favorites from past NWS shows, such as “Circle of Life,” Rogers and Hammerstein, “Little Old Lady from Paseena,” and “In This Very Room.”

The future will include songs such as “On Top of the World,” “I Live,” and more. Choreography will primarily be small groups with swaying and clapping by the entire chorus. Participants will be able to sign up with how much they want.
