The Austin Police Department will host its annual Austin’s Night Out event from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 6, at Bandshell Park.

This family fun night will feature free hot dogs, chips and beverages as well as police, fire and ambulance vehicles on display for kids to tour.

The event is part of the annual National Night Out to allow the community to meet and interact with local first responders and fight back against crime.

The event is co-sponsored by Hormel Foods, Hy-Vee, Frito Lay and Featherlite Graphics & Paint.
