Local resident competes in national beef association competition

A team from Minnesota competed in the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association quiz competition after winning the state contest held this fall at the Minnesota Beef Expo. The team, which includes Austin resident Connor Bollum, earned First place honors and received individual plaques and a $500 check from the NCBA and Farm Credit Services.
The National Cattlemen’s Beef Association annual convention was held in Tampa, Fla., Feb. 6-8. The NCBA Quiz Bowl Contest is an educational opportunity for youth ages 14 to 19.
