Ready for Kindergarten at Pacelli

A great experience in kindergarten sets the stage for a child on their journey of formal education. At Pacelli, we can help set the stage for a successful journey. There are several reasons to consider Pacelli Catholic Schools for kindergarten.

Pacelli has a strong academic program with a strong emphasis on reading and math. With our small class sizes, we are able to reach every learner. We are in session from 7:55 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. each day, Monday through Friday. This is one hour more per day than other schools. There are 175 days of school in a year, this is 175 more hours of instructional time or the equivalent of 25 more days of school.

Part of a child’s growth is not only their academics but their spirituality as well. Religion is taught on a daily basis, students go to Mass once per week, and we offer opportunities such as our all school rosary and Adoration. Kindergartners help plan Mass twice a year. Students are encouraged to implement religion lessons to make good choices and follow the Gospel teachings of Jesus. Faith in action is encouraged by service projects throughout the year.

Kindergarten students have role models they can look up to including second-grade buddies, fifth-grade prayer partners, and 12th-grade Reading Across the Street partners. Pacelli has more of a family feel where older students help and watch out for the younger students in a safe environment. We know our students’ names; each one of them unique and made in God’s image. If you would like to visit the Pacelli Catholic Schools’ kindergarten program, stop by any day or call to set up an appointment at 433-8859. Seeing the class in action and getting the feel for the classroom while school is in session is a wonderful way to gauge if this is the right program for your child.
