Two injured in car crash in Iowa
MANLY, Iowa — Two area residents were injured Sunday night after a rear-end crash near Manly, Iowa, that ended with both vehicles catching fire.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, Michael Scott Chodur, 46, of Kensett, Iowa, and Lynn Maynard Weedman, 57, of Glenville, were transported to Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa for injuries.
Weedman was reportedly treated and transferred to another hospital. No information was available on Chodur as of this morning, according to a hospital spokesman.
The State Patrol states both vehicles were eastbound on Worth County A39, west of Nuthatch, just before 11 p.m. when Chodur, in a 1980 Chevrolet Corvette, rear-ended Weedman, also in a 1980 Chevrolet Corvette.
