Track and field: GMLOS girls win SEC meet

GRAND MEADOW — The Grand Meadow-LeRoy-Ostrander-Southland girls track and field team took first and the GMLOS boys finished second at the four-team Southeast Conference meet in Grand Meadow Tuesday.

Lyle-Pacelli’s boys finished third and the LP girls took fourth.

Freshman Sarah Holtz took first in the high jump and the triple jump for the Lyle-Pacelli girls and David Diang won the high jump for the LP boys and Taylor Wobschall won the triple jump.

In the boys meet, GMLOS’s Coty Kirtz won the 100-meter dash and long jump, Maxwell Tapp won the 400-meter dash,

In the girls meet, GMLOS’s Sam Siskow won the 100-meter hurdles, Sydney Bendtsen won the 100-meter dash, McKenzie Kirtz won the 1600-meter and 800-meter runs, Elizabeth May won the 400-meter dash, Danielle Hanson won the 300-meter hurdles, Addison Tapp won the long jump and Morgan Schmitz won the discus and the shot put.
