Hayfield freshman sweeps the sprints in track invite

HAYFIELD — The Hayfield boys and girls track and field teams each took second out of four teams at their home invite in Hayfield Thursday.

Hayfield freshman Madison Heydt swept the girls’ sprints as she took first in the 100-, 200- and 400-meter dashes.

Senior Hunter Anderson took first in the discus and shot put for the Hayfield boys.

LP eighth grader Sarah Holtz took first in the girls’ triple jump.

The LP girls and boys finished fourth at the invite.
