Woman, teenage grandson found stabbed to death
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Relatives say the woman found fatally stabbed along with her grandson in Minneapolis was a “mother to everybody.”
Family members identify the victims as 57-year-old Beatrice Wilson and her teenage grandson. A relative said Wilson was a Liberian immigrant who worked at the Minneapolis Veterans Home and was raising three grandchildren.
The Star Tribune reports police restrained grieving friends and relatives as they arrived at the victims’ home northwest of downtown Monday. Some screamed and collapsed on the lawn in front of the two-story duplex in the quiet neighborhood.
Police in Waterloo, Iowa are holding a Minnesota man wanted for questioning in the deaths. He lives at the home where the victims were found.
