Jim Curry will lead a tribute show to John Denver’s music in Knowlton Auditorium at 7 p.m. on April 21.

As part of the Austin Artist Series program, admission is for season ticket holders only.

Curry’s tribute has headlined in Las Vegas and been celebrated internationally, according to a news release.

His voice was used as Denver’s in a made-for-TV movie on CBS, “Take Me Home: The John Denver Story.”

Pete Huttlinger, who played guitar for Denver, said Curry’s voice captures the sound and persona of Denver.

“Jim Curry was over there sounding like John Denver,” Huttlinger said. “A couple of times I closed my eyes and went back 15 years.”
