Morem hits a buzzer beater to lift BP

Blooming Prairie sophomore Janelle Morem made good on a second chance when she drilled a buzzer beating three-pointer to beat Waterville/Elysian/Morristown (13-10 overall, 8-6 Gopher) 57-56 in overtime on the road Tuesday.

Morem missed a three with 12 seconds left but BP ran down the rebound and got it back to her for the game winner.

BP (12-10 overall, 10-5 Gopher) had trailed by three late in overtime when Tayla Jones hit two free throws, W/E/M hit one free throw to set up Morem’s last shot.

The Awesome Blossoms led by two at the end of regulation when they fouled the Bucs on a three-pointer. W/E/M hit two free throws to force the extra period.
