KENSETT, Iowa — A 29-year-old rural Kensett man was found dead Monday morning, pinned underneath his tractor in a ditch.

The man was driving north on Ironwood Avenue south of 400th Street in Kensett when he drove into the ditch. The tractor rolled over and pinned him underneath, according to a news release from the Worth County Sheriff’s Office.

The accident reportedly happened late Sunday, but the man was not found until shortly before 7 a.m. Monday by a passerby.

The Mason City Globe Gazette listed the man’s name as Shawn Thompson, according to a death notice from Conner Colonial Chapel of Northwood.

The crash remains under investigation.
