A man and woman were both arrested Saturday when they allegedly assaulted each other.

According to the police report, officers went to the 1300 block of 14th Street NW for a domestic dispute. A 46-year-old man with his hand wrapped in a bloody towel showed officers to an apartment where a 43-year-old woman from New Richland said the man tried to stab her. Officers found a knife on a pillow, and the man told officers the woman cut his arm and ankle and gave him a black eye. Police later found a second knife and placed it in evidence.

According to the police report, both suspects were intoxicated. They were both placed in the Mower County jail pending formal charges.
