AHS gears up for 2015 homecoming
Get ready for a ton of school spirit as Austin High School participates in homecoming week this week.
On Friday, the homecoming court was announced during a school pep fest. King candidates include Seth Clasen, Nate Conner, Dean Maric, Ochan Ochogi and Mitchell Whalen, and queen candidates include Betsy Ettinger, Jordan Huntley, Kayla Jacobsen, Emma O’Connor and Nicole Olson.
This year’s homecoming theme is “Ding the Wingers,” and the king and queen will be crowned during a ceremony Wednesday.

—Battle of the Connects starting at noon in Packer Gym
—Bonfire 8:30-10 p.m. at Wescott Field
Friday
—Scarlet and White Day
—Pep Fest 2:30 p.m. in Knowlton Auditorium
—Parade 3:30 p.m.; The parade route will start at Austin High School and go through downtown to Wescott Field
—Football game vs. Red Wing Wingers 7 p.m. at Hass Stadium
Saturday
—Homecoming Dance 8:30-11:30 p.m. in Hastings Gym
