Holly Days returns to Faribault

The holidays are just around the corner, and the Paradise Center for the Arts in Faribault is celebrating with the return of the ever popular Holly Days Fine Arts and Crafts Sale.

The galleries will be decked out in boutique style and filled with the artistic wares of 20 regional artists during the three-day kick-off Nov. 13-15. A limited portion of each artist’s work will remain in the gift shop through Dec. 23.

The grand opening, which runs 3 to 8 p.m. on Nov. 13, will be a gala event with free hors d’oeuvres, live music and a cash bar to enjoy while browsing through the beautiful array of artistic creations.

While there was a charge for opening night in previous years, it’s free this time around.

“We really want to make it a fun, festive occasion that everyone can enjoy,” says Julie Fakler, gallery chairperson. “And we hope the community will come out to support the arts and get a start on their holiday shopping right here.”

There are paintings, photography, decorative and usable pottery, fused glass, magnificent quilts, and Asian brushwork, to mention a few.  There will also be wearable items, such as hand-dyed silk scarves or wraps, hats, pins, one-of-a kind jewelry, Alpaca items and aprons.

A portion of the sales will help fund continuing programs and exhibits at the Paradise Center for the Arts.
