Hayfield wrestlers take 6th, GMLOK takes 4th at Hayfield Invite

The Hayfield wrestling team took sixth out of seven teams and Grand Meadow-LeRoy-Ostrander-Kingsland took fourth at the Hayfield Invite Saturday.

GMLOK’s Noah Schlee and Lucas Roe won their weight classes.

Roe, who is ranked No. 3 in Class ‘AA’ at 152 pounds, beat Chris Boehmke of Lewiston-Altura-Rushford-Peterson 4-1 in the finals. He also picked up a 16-2 and a 19-3 win.

Schlee took first at 126 pounds as he won by decisions of 19-1 and 13-0 and picked up a pin.

Hayfield’s Cameryn Stadler took fifth at 113, August Ducharme took sixth at 120, Mike Wytaske took fourth at 132, Darien Edds took sixth at 138, Joe Volgarino took third at 145, Connor Nelson took fifth at 152, Garrison Mindrup took third at 160 and Trey Chatman took fourth at 195,

GMLOK’s Jace Bunne took fifth at 120, Brock Johnson took third at 138, Perry Stesjkal took second at 182 and Richard Bain took second at 220.
