Saint Peter tops Hayfield boys

The Hayfield boys basketball team lost 65-52 to St. Peter (5-0 overall) in Hayfield Saturday.

The Vikings (3-2 overall) scored the first four points of the second half to pull within 36-31, but St. Peter, which is ranked No. 3 in Class ‘AA,’ scored the next 11 points and Hayfield couldn’t get any closer than nine the rest of the way.

Cole Kruger had nine points, five rebounds and six assists for Hayfield.
