AACA receives $4,000 General Operating Support grant

The Austin Area Commission for the Arts is one of 28 recipients of the grant dollars from the Southeast Minnesota Arts Council.

AACA, which presents the Paramount Theatre’s annual season, received a $4,000 General Operating Support grant for administrative costs. On Aug. 21, SEMAC’s board awarded a total of $110,025 in grants throughout southeastern Minnesota.

This included 16 McKnight Individual Artist Grants, seven General Operating Support Grants to arts organizations and five Artists in Education Grants.

SEMAC is the State Arts Board-designated granting authority for local/regional arts producing and sponsoring organizations. It disburses funds allocated for this purpose by the Minnesota State Legislature. The SEMAC region includes the counties of Dodge, Fillmore, Freeborn, Goodhue, Houston, Mower, Olmsted, Rice, Steele, Wabasha, and Winona.
