School board to discuss contruction, lunch expenses
With construction on a new school under way and some lunch expenses to figure out, the Austin Public Schools Board will keep busy at its monthly meeting Monday.
The board will hear a construction update on the new fifth- and sixth-grade elementary school, as well as decide on bakery and dairy bids for district cafeterias. While the recommended bids for dairy products are similar in price to last year’s bid by Kemps of Rochester, the district will see a slight decrease in bakery goods prices from Earthgrains Baking Company.
Board members will also approve a Truth in Taxation hearing date, hear about this year’s Athletic Cooperative Agreements with Pacelli Catholic Schools, and review several revised policies on immunization requirements and the pledge of allegiance, as both policies were slightly modified for language.
