Fidelity Lodge No. 39 and Unity Chapter No. 29, Austin presented scholarships to six students at a recent dinner meeting. This year each student received $1,000 from either Fidelity Lodge or Unity Chapter. This amount was matched by Minnesota Masonic Charities allowing each student to receive $2,000 as they begin their college education. The students are: Allesha Anderson, Ryan Kempen, Valentina Ferriera and Baille Brooks from Austin High School, and Nicholas Christanson and Colton Mowers from Albert Lea High School. Since the Eastern Star Chapter in Albert Lea consolidated with Unity Chapter in Austin, the Eastern Star Scholarships also consider student who apply from Albert Lea. Photo provided
