Art Center calling all shutterbugs

The Austin Area Art Center is looking for local shutterbugs.

The Art Center is hosting its annual photography show, “Don’t Shoot The Photographer,” which will be open to any interested photographers. The exhibit will be on display Aug. 29-Sept. 30, with an open house 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 2 to honor participants.

All artists are allowed four photos, framed, wired and ready to hang. The entry fee for the first photo is $15, and $5 for each additional entry. First place receives $50, second place gets $35 and third gets $25.

All work must be turned by Sunday, Aug. 26. For more information, call the Art Center at 507-433-8451 during regular business hours, noon to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday.
