Now that fencing for Austin’s first off-leash dog park is in place, the call goes out from SPARK — Start a Park for Austin’s Respectable K-9s, the committee spearheading the dog park project — for volunteers to help erect and attach the chain link fencing to the poles and install the gates.

Volunteers, with or without experience, are needed at any time on Saturday, May 12. The first group will start working at 9 a.m. All are asked to bring work gloves and register ahead of time by calling 507-434-4736 or by emailing austinsdogpark@gmail.com.
