Holtz said he is excited and committed to seeing patients at the Adams Clinic.

“The relationships with my patients are the best part of my job and are so important,” he said. “It’s great getting to know the entire family long-term.”

Holtz will join Mary Fargen, a certified physician assistant who has been providing care at the Adams Clinic since 1984.

Holtz received his medical degree from the University of Iowa and completed his residency at the University of Kansas in Wichita. He and his wife, Dr. Carol Holtz, who also is a family medicine physician working at Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin, live in Austin with their two teenage daughters.
