A New Year’s Eve for the ages is just days away at the Paramount Theatre in Austin.

Denny Charnecki and the DC Drifters, Amanda Corey, Joy Riley and more will perform during a “Rockin New Year’s Eve,” 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Tickets are $13 in advance or $15 at the door.

Charnecki and his gang will perform another tribute to Buddy Holly, Richie Valens and The Big Bopper. A special Neil Diamond tribute is in store, as well, along with newer hits performed by Corey and Riley. The show is appropriate for all ages.

 Clear Lake remembering the greats

Those who love the 1950s rock ‘n’ roll greats are bringing the past to Clear Lake, Iowa. Connie Valens and Denny Charnecki are helping raise funds for the Three Stars Plaza, a memorial site in Clear Lake dedicated to Buddy Holly, Richie Valens and The Big Bopper. Visitors will be able to play the trio’s ’50s hits when they approach the memorial.
