GOODHUE, Minn. — A Goodhue County coroner’s report says the death of a 10-year boy climbing a tree at his house was accidental.
A funeral service for Derek Strickland will be held Thursday at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Goodhue. The fourth-grader died Friday at his rural Goodhue home.
Family members tried to revive the boy until paramedics took over. Authorities haven’t provided details on what caused his death.
