Southland golfers fall in dual
The Southland boys golf team fell to conference foe Caledonia/Spring Grove 180-204 Tuesday in Adams.
Southland was led by Marcus Johnson with a 44 while Brandon Bergene shot a 52. Cole Erie and Tyler Westrich both shot 54s.
“It was by far the best day of the year for golf,” said coach Tim Brennan. “Marcus played well. He’s coming. The rest of the guys need to manage the course better instead of trying to be Superman. It’s still April. We’ll get better.”
Southland’s next meet will be Thursday against Fillmore Central.
