Guilty plea reached in drug cases

A suspect at the center of several drug-related cases changed two pleas to guilty Monday as part of a plea agreement.

Jacqueline Couture Fisher, 21, of Austin, pleaded guilty Monday in Mower County Court to two felonies for second-degree drug sale of more than 3 grams of methamphetamines.

She previously pleaded not guilty to two charges of fifth-degree drug possession and failure to appear in court, felonies.

Police investigated Fisher from Aug. 7 to Aug. 22, 2012, when a confidential informant bought varying amounts of meth from Fisher on six occasions for more than a total of $1,000, according to a court complaint. Another court complaint states an August 2012 traffic stop uncovered two bags of marijuana and led the officer to Couture’s house, where she admitted to having methamphetamine and weed. The officer reportedly found 2.8 grams of meth and 0.9 grams of marijuana.

Fisher was arrested on Nov. 30 when officers forced their way into a home in the 2100 block of 16th Street Southeast and reportedly found 0.7 grams of meth, numerous pipes, capsules, tubing, a digital scale, 10 cell phones and a box of the American Legion’s pull tabs.

Fisher is scheduled for sentencing in one case on June 6.
