A car accident that ended when a Ford Escape drove into Austin Christian Fellowship Church will not have any affect on worship services.

“We’re in the process of gathering estimates, and it’s not going to affect any of our operations at all,” said Adam Humburg, worship pastor. “Fortunately, no one was hurt.”

According to the police report, officers and EMTs responded to the accident at about 9:30 a.m. Sunday. The driver, 55-year-old Michelle O’Connor, was taken to Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin. The crash reportedly was result of a medical condition.

Humburg said about 10 people were in the building at the time of the crash, and the car pushed in an exterior wall about 8 inches. Humburg did not have a timeframe of when repairs will be made.
