Teen arrested after alleged car break-in
Austin police cited a 13-year-old boy Thursday morning after they received reports of three youngsters breaking into a car.
According to the police report, two of the three suspects were reportedly walking on Seventh Street NW shortly after the alleged break-in, and police were able to arrest one at about 1 a.m. Thursday.
The report adds that the suspects stole a transmitter, numerous CDs and $30 from an unlocked car in the 700 block of Sixth Street NW. Police notified the owner.
Authorities took the arrested 13-year-old to the Law Enforcement Center, cited him for tampering with a motor vehicle and turned him over to his father.
No other citations were issued.
