Law firm changes name, adds partner

Until recently, one local law firm’s name was missing some of its longtime partners. But on March 29, Baudler, Baudler Maus & Blahnik became Baudler, Maus, Forman, Kritzer & Wagner, LLP, adding two longtime partners and one new partner to its name, and dropping another who retired.

Wagner

The firm includes partners Bryan and Thomas Baudler, Lawrence and Robert Maus, Jeff Kritzer, David Forman and Kelly Wagner. Forman has been a partner for about 10 years, Kritzer has been for over four, and Wagner has been since the beginning of 2012, according to Kritzer, but none of them had their names on the door until March.

“It was time to change the name to reflect who the current members of the firm are,” Kritzer said.

Bob Blahnik, who ran the firm’s Spring Valley office, retired several years ago. Wagner, who was an associate for several years, has since taken over management in Spring Valley.

“We’re certainly happy to have her as a partner,” Kritzer said. “Kelly has really earned the partnership by taking complete responsibility for that office.”

Wagner is one of two employees in Spring Valley, and the firm has six attorneys and nine other employees in Austin.

Carl and Otto Baudler founded the firm in 1908, according to its website, www.baudlerlaw.com. The firm handles criminal prosecution for the city of Austin, bankruptcy, business law, estate planning, family law, personal injury, real estate and much more.
