The Awesome Blossoms beat Hope Lutheran 25-19, 17-25, 15-11 to take third place in the LeRoy-Ostrander volleyball tournament Saturday.

BP (17-6 overall) beat Glenville-Emmons 25-17, 25-13, topped Grand Meadow 25-7, 25-18 and fell to Alden-Conger 25-20, 25-18.

The Blossoms were playing without their libero Nicole Inwards, who was out with an illness.

“Lizz (Willert) did a nice job of covering Nicole’s position, but the juggling of players and the low number of subs that we worked with for the day, was definitely a challenge,” BP head coach Gina McLaughlin said.
