Carnival a success

Banfield Parent Teacher Council

On Feb. 17, Banfield Elementary School held its annual carnival. The carnival was a huge success, with more than 400 people attending. Profits will help the Banfield Parent Teacher Council fund items for the students that are not paid for by the school district, including field trips, guest speakers and musicians, supplies, books and technology upgrades. The PTC thanks all who helped make the carnival a success. More than 40 businesses donated items, including food and prizes for the drawing booth. It is because of the generosity of these businesses that we are able to put on such a fun evening for the students and their families. We also thank the Banfield teachers and staff, parents, and AHS Honor Society students who worked at the carnival. It takes more than 80 volunteers to run the games and serve food for the carnival. We couldn’t have done it without you.
