The Sacred Heart Auxiliary met for the 2011-2012 opening gathering Sept. 27 in the Assisted Living Dining Room.

Newly elected president Audrey Finkelson presided over the meeting. Upcoming events were discussed including a fall bake and craft sale to be held 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29 in the Day Care Unit.

A meeting for interested new members will be held at the Center at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 5. Audrey Murphy announced the Younkers Community Day Event will be extended to two days this year to be held on Nov. 11 and 12.

Nancy Reed announced the Christmas party for residents and clients will be held on Monday, Dec. 12 in the nursing home community room.

Lunch was served by Audrey Finkelson and Agnes Bishop with the next meeting scheduled for 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 22.
