Arc primed for a night of spooks and dancing

Get ready for the best party of the year, when we all get dressed up in wild costumes and dance the evening away to old favorites like “Monster Mash,” “Thriller,” and other spooky tunes. People of all ages and abilities are invited to this great Halloween dance featuring great music, costume contest, refreshments and prizes. Costume contest judges: James Wilcox, Laura Lee and Betsy Singer from KAAL-TV.

The dance will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Mower County Senior Center. Cost is $3 per person. Registration deadline is  Wednesday, no exceptions.

What is Community Days?

Community Days is an annual fundraising event designed to provide organizations like The Arc Mower County with a fun and easy way to raise money.

When is it?  Community Days is a two-day event. It will take place on Friday, Nov. 14-15 at these stores: Bon-Ton, Elder-Beerman, Bergner’s, Boston Store, Carson’s, Herberger’s, and Younkers. Stores open early, and stay open late.

How does it work? The Arc Mower County is selling coupon booklets online and to the public for $5 each, keeping 100 percent of the proceeds. Each booklet contains coupons valid during the Community Day, two-day sale .

What will customers receive in each booklet?

•Community Days coupons can be used on over 100 Bonus items.

•A $10 coupon to use on an item of $10 or more.

•A 30 percent off early bird coupon valid both days until 1 p.m.

•Tiered shopping pass for 25 percent, 20 percent and 10 percent off each regular or sale priced item.
