The Austin 10U Jays were one of three Austin All Star baseball teams that qualified for state tournament play over the past weekend.

The Jays topped Shakopee, Hastings, Lake Elmo and Farmington by a score of 9-3 to win their tournament.

The 11U Reichel Foods and 12U Local 9 teams also earned state berths with strong performances.

The Local 9 team won the Owatonna tournament by going 5-0. Corey Weber hit an RBI-single to put Austin up 3-2 over Blue Earth in the title game.

The Reichel Foods team went 3-1 at the Mankato tournament to clinch a state tournament berth.

The Austin All-Star Eagles will host a 14-year old tournament at Riverland this Saturday.
