Ten students from Austin schools have been named finalists for nearly $6,000 in cash scholarships from the Austin Area Chamber of Commerce.

Each finalist will give a presentation on a topic of their choice to the selection committee before winners are selected. Scholarships, ranging in value from $200 to $1500, will be awarded to 10 recipients at the Chamber’s annual ACCESS Scholarship Banquet on March 18.

This year’s 12th-grade ACCESS Scholarship finalists include Melissa Carla Navao, Alex Thorson, Mollie Mickelson and Thomas Olmsted. Eighth-grade finalists are Amber Hansen, McKenna Hotek, Kaitlyn Schammel, Mikayla Brunner, Marissa Lund and Gabriella Marconi.
