Footprints indicate abandoned home was torched
Footprints in the snow led away from a house that was apparently torched near Sargeant, Minn., late Thursday night. The home was abandoned and had no electricity hooked up.
According to Mower County Sheriff Terese Amazi, a neighbor called authorities at about 12 a.m. Friday after seeing the blaze in the 60000 block of 300th street near Sargeant. Dexter firefighters responded to the call and extinguished the fire.
No other buildings were damaged, but the abandoned home was destroyed. Deputies did not find the suspect.
