Blooming battles to 27-6 against Goodhue

The No. 3-ranked Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms (4-0) received their stiffest challenge of the year, taking down Goodhue 27-6.

After taking the opening kick-off down the field, Goodhue scored to take an early 6-0 lead in the first. However, the Blossoms took over after that, scoring in each quarter to get the win.

“This is the first team that made us play into the second half,” said head coach Chad Gimbel. “They’re a good team and they make you grind for every yard.”

Despite a pair of interceptions in the end zone, Kaden Thomas struck for four touchdowns, throwing for 190 yards.

Matthew Pryor carried 19 times for 158 yards in the win.
